This is our most popular option. You essentially own the ranch for an entire week. You specify who is there during your vacation family, friends, associates and you choose who prepares the meals.
Group size, rates We can accommodate 16 to 20+ people at a time. The basic rate covers up to 16 people; additional guests are charged according to their ages, with discounts for teens, children, and infants. See the Rates page for details and how we define “16 to 20+.” Arrival and departure days You arrive on Saturday and depart the following Saturday. Your ride across Florence Lake is complimentary. You get to the ranch either on foot or take advantage of a special low rate to ride in on horseback. We take your luggage across the lake and to and from the ranch at no additional charge. Just show up at Florence Lake before noon on your arrival day. Accommodations Choose one of our eight log cabins by a stream or one of five tent cabins near the river. A log cabin can hold three (3) people, and has a double bed and a single bed (cot). Each log cabin has a bathroom with toilet and wash basin with cold running water. One of the log cabins is larger, with one double bed and two twin-size beds. Enjoy privacy and luxurious bathing in one of our two enclosed hot spring baths. Our fireplace lounge has books, board games, playing cards and comfy furniture. Meals Meals are not included in the basic rate. You have the option of doing your own cooking in our professionally-equipped kitchen, or you can do as most guests do hire one of our professional caterers who will contact you to discuss menu options. The caterer will bring the food to the ranch, prepare and serve the meals, and clean up afterward. All you need to bring is your appetite. Horseback riding Horse use for either riding or packing is charged for separately. There are many options including full-day and half-day rides to some wonderful destinations. You can also arrange an overnight pack trip into nearby Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Park. Our rates are similar to those charged by pack stations in our area. See the Rates page for details. All rides are guided. Remember to bring Your sleeping bag, bath towel, a poncho (it can rain anytime during our season), a flashlight with fresh batteries, a hat (our clear skies make the sun especially intense). |
