Muir Trail Ranch -- Rates for groups staying for a week

Group, week-long stay

The basic rate pays for up to 16 people, regardless of their ages. By “16 to 20+” we are saying you can have 20 adults and some children, for a group size that exceeds 20, our nominal maximum. Groups of 26 are not uncommon, especially when the group is having a family reunion and there are lots of kids and grandkids.

If you have more than the minimum number of 16, you can use the lowest rates for the additional people. See below:

For example, you have a group of 16, consisting of 9 adults, 3 teenagers, and 4 children.

Then you add 3 more adults.

You can count all the adults as part of the group of 16, so the additions to your group are charged the lower child rates.

The charge for a group of up to 16 people, regardless of ages, is $11,120. Each additional adult is $695.

Meals are not included in the above rates. Currently our caterers are charging around $50-$100 per person per day. Contact us for a list of available caterers. You can discuss menus and rates with them.

Reserving your space
To reserve your week, you (the entire group) need to send a non-refundable deposit (earnest money) of $1,000 when you make your reservation which covers the reservation for the entire group. Making this payment is the responsibility of the group leader. This will hold your week. By January 15, we require a payment to cover half the cost of your stay, minus the $1,000 earnest money (if already paid). For example, if your week comes to $11,120, half of that is $5,560. Subtract the earnest money and you need to send $4,560 by January 15. The balance is due 30 days before your arrival at the ranch.

As an individual you may either pay the group leader for your deposits, or he/she can have you handle your own payment separately. If you want to, you can make payment by credit card over the Internet, or send a check or money order to the ranch at the address shown below. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover both on the Internet and at the ranch.
